Abstract

Mobile robots include, but are not limited to, humanoid robots, unmanned rovers, entertainment pets, drones,
and more. Their capacity to move independently and possess the intelligence to respond and make choices
based on their assessment of their surroundings sets them apart from other robots. To adapt to a changing
environment, mobile robots need a source of input data, a method for interpreting that information, and a
mechanism for acting (including moving itself). Sensing and adapting to an unfamiliar environment calls for a
strong cognitive system. These days, there are mobile robots that have the same abilities as their biological
counterparts, including the ability to run, leap, and walk. Numerous robotics subfields have emerged, including
wheeled mobile robots, legged robots, flying robots, robot vision, artificial intelligence, and more. These
subfields include a variety of technical domains, including computer science, electronics, and mechanics. The
field of mobile robots, including emerging tendencies, is examined in this article. Artificial intelligence,
autonomous driving, network communication, collaborative work, nanorobotics, safe human-robot interaction,
pleasant human-robot interfaces, and the expression and perception of emotions are the main drivers of these
emerging developments. Additionally, these news trends are used in a variety of industries, including industry,
ergonomics, sports, healthcare, medicine, and service robots. In the next years, these trends will continue the
change.
